What do you enjoy most about being a member of the Chalkboard Project team?

Chalkboard is a great place to work with an inspiring mission to advance the quality of education for all the children in Oregon. I particularly enjoy the opportunity of working with a highly motivated and talented team who are dedicated to supporting high great teaching and learning in every Oregon classroom for all Oregon kids.

Who was your mentor growing up?

One of my most important mentors growing up was my 4th grade teacher. Mrs. Williams sparked my learning by acknowledging my gifts and talents and at the same time challenging me to do my best work.  Most
importantly she conveyed her confidence in me and that encouraged my belief in myself and inspired me to "go after my dreams".  Mrs. Williams had a significant influence in my life and was one of the reason I became a lifelong educator.

What do you like to do on a rainy Saturday afternoon?

Our family loves to get together with friends and make a fantastic dinner while listening to great music and reading a bit of "local"
poetry. 

What do you love most about Oregon?

Great people, great places, great food, and Oregon is Green!
