Lundy Elementary School
Located in Lowell, Oregon, Lundy faced many challenges last year due to budget and program cuts. To encourage school spirit, the PTA organized four literacy nights with their Chalkboard Project grant money. A "Reading Family Fun Night" featured in-character readings of Harry Potter and Clifford the Big Red Dog. Lowell PTA President said, "I feel that there is a stronger sense of community here because families are given these opportunities to come and interact with each other."
