Libraries of Eastern Oregon

The Chalkboard Project partnered with Libraries of Eastern Oregon and Tutor.com to bring a free tutoring service to students in eastern Oregon. Students from Kindergarten to 12th grade, those in introductory-level college courses, and adult learners visited 51 eastern Oregon libraries or the library’s Web site to get on-demand, free help from qualified tutors.

Sue Hildick, President of the Chalkboard Project, said “Free online tutoring is another way parents in eastern Oregon can actively participate in K-12 schools, by helping their children get the homework help they need. Our research has shown that parental involvement is one of the best ways to improve schools.”
