Beginning Teacher and Administrator Mentor Program
During the 2009 Legislative Session, the Oregon Legislature passed Senate Bill 443. The bill funds an easy-access, web-based resource listing of standards-based, high-quality professional development programs for teachers and other common-sense appraoches to improve the professional practice of teaching. The bill directs the Governor to appoint a commission to oversee the development and implementation of the clearinghouse. The site has yet to go online, but the commission has been appointed.
